Das preisgekrönte Restaurant Galerie Arté al Lago ist das Aushängeschild des Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola. Dieses einzigartige Restaurant im Tessin ist in einer Kunstgalerie mit Blick auf die Gewässer des Ceresio-Sees untergebracht und bietet eine atemberaubende Aussicht. Das Restaurant hat 16 GaultMillau-Punkte. Die prächtigen Räume sind mit Kunstwerken von international bekannten Künstlern dekoriert, mit thematischen Ausstellungen, die zweimal im Jahr erneuert werden und ein exklusives Ambiente schaffen.
Küchenchef Frank Oerthle, der 2009 zum 'Emerging Chef for Ticino' ernannt wurde und seit der Eröffnung 2001 die Leitung innehat, setzt seine kulinarische Leidenschaft in eine innovative und verlockende Auswahl an Gerichten um und zeichnet vor allem Menüs auf der Basis von Meeres- und Seefischen aus. Ein Küchenchef, der den Kontakt mit dem Publikum liebt, einfach und doch kreativ, präzise und enthusiastisch.
